Ashley Wilburn, a native of Hagerstown, Maryland, proudly hails from North Hagerstown High School, where she completed her secondary education. With a deep-rooted passion for family law, Ashley's current legal practice revolves around various aspects of family matters. She concentrates the majority of her practice on divorce cases, alimony disputes, property distribution in marital relationships and child custody battles. child support arrangements, postnuptial and prenuptial agreements, post-divorce enforcement and issues such as step-parent or private party adoptions, as well as concerns regarding child welfare. In addition to family law, Ashley also handles estate planning matters, including trusts, wills, probate, and estate administration, along with commercial contracts, civil litigation cases. Ashley has been a mediator appointed by the court since the year 2019. She assists parties in resolving their disputes without the need for litigation or court involvement. In addition to mediations that are court-appointed, Ashley also mediates in private cases for those who wish to avoid the court process and litigation.

After finishing her undergraduate studies at Loyola University of Maryland, where she earned two bachelor's degrees in History and Political Science, Ashley pursued her legal education at Western New England University School of Law. Graduating in 2013, she excelled in her studies, placing among the top 10 students in her class. Ashley was a Note Editor for the Western New England Law Review during her time in law school. This was a sign of her dedication to legal research and scholarship.

Following the completion of her law degree, Ashley embarked on a clerkship experience, working for distinguished jurists in Connecticut and Maryland. She was fortunate enough to serve as a law assistant to the Honorable Richard A. Robinson at the Connecticut Appellate Court and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott. In 2014 she returned home to her hometown of Hagerstown to clerk for the Honorable M. Kenneth Long at the Washington County Circuit Court, deepening her understanding of the local legal landscape. Ashley joined Poole & Kane P.A. in 2015 as an associate attorney. as an associate attorney. The primary role she played was representing the Washington County Department of Social Services in cases involving child welfare. Through her dedicated efforts, Ashley played a vital role in assisting children who had suffered abuse or neglect at the hands of their parents or caregivers. Her dedication to fighting social injustice was not limited to her legal career when she was an active member of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force. She was a tireless worker to raise awareness regarding human trafficking within the tri-state region.

In 2017, she was a founding member at Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., and developed her expertise in family law, including divorce, custody and child maintenance, as well as guardianships – as well as financial planning and estate planning – wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance directives/healthcare proxy and mediation.

Ashley established Wilburn Law Office, LLC in 2023. Ashley founded Wilburn Law Office, LLC with the intention of providing a personalized approach to every client's requirements.
